The Edit dates report lets an instructor review and change due dates, access dates, cut-off dates, etc., for  Multiple Activities or Resources at once. This feature is especially useful for instructors who are reusing a previous course.

Use the 'Edit Dates' Report

In the Administration block, click Reports, then Edit dates. The Edit dates page will open.

    • On the Edit dates page, from the Choose an activity type drop-down menu, select an activity type to edit.
    • If your course page has fewer than twenty (20) itemsthe Choose an activity type menu will default to All and every activity and resource in your course will be listed on the Edit dates page.
    • If your course page contains twenty (20) or more items, All will not appear as an option in the drop-down. Use the Choose an activity type drop-down menu to filter items by type.  For example, you can edit all Assignmentdates, or all Quiz dates.

Click a Section name to expand and view the date settings in that section.

Note: When the page is set to show a particular activity type rather than All activities, click Expand all to open those Sections containing that activity type.

Change the date settings for the items you wish to edit, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save changes.

Note: For date changes to stick, you must save changes before before selecting a new Activity type. If you try to change activity types without first saving, Moodle will present an alert: "This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved." To save your date settings click Stay on Page, then Save changes.

Note: Turnitin assignment dates cannot be changed using the Edit dates feature, you must open the Settings page for each Turnitin assignment to edit dates.
